Island of South Caicos
South Caicos - Situated at the southestern end of the Caicos Islands, South Caicos is know as East Harbor.The 8 square island is 22 miles west of Grand Turk and its harbor is the most protected natural harbor of all the islands. Today, South Caicos is a fishing center for queen conch, lobster and bonefish all of which is exported to the USA. More recently with the building up of the infrastructure more people are living there who work at Amerbris Cay Sporting Club. Bell Sound Estates are a development company who are now beginning to develope some of the property that they purchased and now are selling some lots that are on the water.
Island of East Caicos
East Caicos - It is a large (nearly 38 sq miles) uninhabited island at the present time with nearly all the land is swamp, mangrove, tidal flats, being owned by the crown. Still to be found in East Caicos are skeletons and artifacts in the caves and prehistoric petroglyphs are also found on the walls of these caves. This island represents how the Turks and Caicos used to be before development and part of this island may be developed as a 1300 acre parcel that was privately owned and has been just sold.
Island of Pine Cay
Pine Cay - It is home to Meridian Club.. Pine Cay is a small island of only 800 acres, less than 1 mile wide and two miles long but sandy beaches line the north side and many people enjoy searching here for sand dollars. The atmosphere at Pine Cay is very peaceful and no cars are allowed, on the island with residents using golf carts or bicycles. Being a private island and very exclusive, very little in the way of real estate is advertised and the select community must approve the purchase of property.
Parrot Cay
